Prof. Matetzky is the current Director of the Intensive Cardiac Care Department at the Sheba Medical Center. He established the Outpatient Clinic for Premature Coronary Disease (2002) and since 2006 has been the Head of the Chest Pain Service in the Sheba Medical Center. Since 2016 Prof. Matetzky is the Deputy Director of the Division of Cardiology in the Leviev Heart Center, Sheba Medical Center.
In 2011 he was appointed Associate Professor in the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. He has been the recipient of several academic and professional awards and is a member of several professional and is Head of the Working Group of Intensive Cardiac Care for the Israel Heart Society.
Prof. Matetzky has published well over 100 peer reviewed articles, as well as chapters in books and has over 30 years experience in clinical research.
Currently Prof. Matetzky is involved in extensive research in the field of platelet activity and acute coronary syndromes, as well as in the field of myocardial infarction in young adults.
