Neal Eigler has an MD degree from Yale and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
He was Co-Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles from 1985 to 2004 and Professor of Medicine at U.C.L.A. His research focused on the development of new therapeutic devices and diagnostic methods with more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and 40 issued US patents.
He co-founded Progressive Angioplasty Systems, Conor Medsystems, and Savacor, where he served as CEO. These companies developed proprietary stents, drug eluting stents and implantable pressure sensors, respectively. All three were acquired by major device manufacturers.
He then served as Senior VP of Technology Incubation at St Jude Medical from 2006-14.
In 2015 he became CEO of V-Wave Ltd, an early stage company in Israel that is developing implantable interatrial shunts for treating patients with severe heart failure.
