Dr Hofferberth graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School and is a surgical resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
In 2016 she joined the del Nido lab in the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research activities have focused on the design and development of the novel biomimetic size-adjustable heart valve technology. She led the concept development, device design, and proof of concept in vitro and in vivo experimental work for the valve. Dr Hofferberth has taken a leave of absence from her surgical training to lead development of Autus Valve Technologies, Inc.
