Dr. Laster a healthcare entrepreneur with over two decades of experience.
He is currently the medical venture partner at OurCrowd LLC a crowd funding platform. He is also the founder and Chairman of Clil Medical Ltd since founding in 2010.
He was a co-founder and Director of Kitov Pharmaceuticals (2010-2014; KTOV.TA). From 2003 until 2010, he was the founding CEO of BioLineRx (NASDAQ/TASE: BLRX).
In addition, from 2010 until 2012 Dr. Laster served as an external director in Proteologics and as a director in BioLineRx (2003-2011). From 1996-2002 he was the founder of Keryx biopharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: KERX) and led a dual listing on the AIM and NASDAQ exchanges.
From 1993-1995 he was a combat physician in the Paratrooper Corps of the IDF.
From 1990-1996 he was a VP of medical venture capital at Paramount Capital a NY based merchant bank specializing in the biotech industry.
He earned his MD from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn NY in 1990, did post-graduate work in Surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and in Orthopedic Surgery at Hadassah University Medical Center.
