Prof. Wang received his MD. & PhD. degree at Zhejiang Medical University in China, and was trained in clinical cardiology at Queen Mary Hospital (Hong Kong) in 1992, and interventional cardiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center (United States) in 1993.

He is currently the chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Cardiology Association, vice-chairman of Chinese Society of Cardiology and the deputy Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Cardiology. He is experienced in interventional cardiology, especially invasive imaging, coronary catheterization, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and percutaneous mitral valve clip.

Prof. Wang has devoted himself into the hospital management for more than ten years. His strategies for development of being “excellent” and “globalized” have generated remarkable achievements for SAHZU in hospital culture construction, specialty development, quality management and care, international communication and local cooperation etc. Because of his outstanding contribution, he was awarded the Bethune Medal, the Most Leading Chinese Hospital President and other prestigious national honors.
