Prof. Cohen has served as the Director of Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Neuroradiology at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center since 2001 and is a Professor of Neurosurgery at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (HUJI).
He was among the early pioneers of stent-based thrombectomy as therapy for acute ischemic stroke and other innovative neurovascular interventions.
He has published over 250 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and chapters in books for neurosurgery and neuroradiology, and has led numerous studies in the clinical and basic sciences.
Prof. Cohen is a member of several international societies. He has been a consultant and proctor for major companies, and has been active in start-up companies in the field of neuroendovascular medical devices.
