Dr (Prof) Debabrata Dash, MD ( Medicine), DM (Cardiology), FICC, FCCP, FAPSC, FSCAI is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, Aster Al Qusais Hospital, Dubai. Earlier in his career, he worked as an interventional cardiologist at NMC Specialty Hospital (Dubai), Thumbay Hospital (Ajman, UAE), Veterans General Hospital (Taipei, Taiwan), Toyohashi heart Center (Toyohashi, Japan) and Guangdong Provincial Hospital (Guangzhou, China). He set up the interventional cardiology department and worked as a Director of Cath Lab and Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in S.L Raheja (A Fortis Associate) hospital (Mumbai, India) and Sai Bhavani Super Specialty Hospital (Hyderabad, India). He has accumulated vast experience over 20 years in interventional cardiology. To his credit he has performed more than 26000 interventions which include complex coronary angioplasty and stenting in emergency situation such as Primary PCI, Bifurcation, CTO, LMCA & graft angioplasty, devices like ROTA, Orbita atherectomy, DCA, distal & proximal protection, imaging modalities like MSCT, Virtual Histology, IVUS, OCT. Dr Dash was awarded for best service in Cardiology by World of Great Faces in 2009-2010 at Mumbai, India. Earlier he had served as a vice chairperson of interventional cardiology in the Asia Pacific region for 2 years. He represented India as invited as international faculty in China, Korea, Japan, Latin America, Vietnam, USA, Malaysia, & Singapore to present the latest developments in interventional cardiology.
Dr Dash is by far one of the most decorated cardiologists of India for having been awarded the Excellent Interventional Cardiologist of the year (2011-2012). He has been appointed as Professor of Cardiology at Beijing Tiantan Hospital (Beijing, China) and Professor of Medicine, Tan Tao Medical School, Vietnam. He has several publications pertaining to IVUS, Transradial coronary angioplasty, Bifurcation, CTO, Drug Eluting Balloon, Calcified Lesions, Left main and Graft angioplasty in books & journals of repute. He worked as an editor-in-chief for thematic issue on chronic total occlusion in current cardiology review. He is currently in the Editorial Board of few journals including Korean Circulation Journal, Journal of Innovative Cardiology and Journal of Transcatheter Intervention.
