Avital (Tali) Porter, MD, is a graduate of the Ben-Gurion University School of Medicine in Be’er Sheva and an expert in internal medicine and cardiology.
She served as a Director of the Interventional Intensive Care Unit and the Heart of the Woman Clinic in Beilinson. Most recently she has been working as a Head of Cardiology Step Down Unit & Women Cardiac Health Clinic at Rabin Medical Center in Israel.
Dr. Porter graduated of the Women’s Leadership Course, Oxford University, 2016, England.
She is the leader of the Cardiology Department of the Cardiology Society, and for the past 5 years has been conducting a multi-disciplinary annual conference for physicians who have been involved in the treatment and prevention of heart disease in women. This conference places a great deal on the gynecologic and hormonal aspects and their effect on cardiovascular disease throughout the woman’s life.
Dr. Porter is the leader of the Forum for the Advancement of Cardiology in the Cardiology Association, and for the last 3 years (a close conference in late December), she has been organizing an annual conference for the advancement of physicians in Israel. Also set up a Facebook group of more than 4000 female doctors.
She is a member of a working group of the European Cardiology Association (a permanent representative) for promoting and joining young people with an emphasis on women to the European Union.
