After graduating from Osaka University Faculty of Medicine, he engaged in clinical work as a cardiologist at National Hospital Organization Osaka National Hospital, Osaka University Hospital and others. He was involved in clinical research on pathophysiology and prognostic prediction of heart failure, winning lots of awards, for examples, from The Japan Society of Ultrasonics in Medicine.
For external affairs, he was in charge of the 6th representative director of “U-40 Heart Failure Network”, a network of young doctors in Japan who are interested in heart failure treatments. He is currently a director of this nonprofit organization. While he was doing researches as a graduate student at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, he joined “Japan Biodesign” as one of the first badge fellows, the program for the next innovators who are enthusiastic about developing novel medical devices, deriving from Stanford University. After finishing the program, he founded Remohab, Inc. which is the first start-up company from the program.
He keeps working as a physician one day per week and plays an important role in JIYC (Japan International Young Community) of the Japanese Circulations Society. He earned the board certification in cardiology and internal medicine, and PhD from Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine.
